Cabbage and Carrot Salad.

This is a quick easy and fresh cabbage salad. It’s a nutritious and delicious salad that goes wonderful with almost everything. Sometimes I like to add red cabbage too. It’s very colorful. We make this salad very often back in Mongolia. Here is my own recipe which is I’m making for very long time. Enjoy my friends. If you have any question please let me know.

Ingredients:

Serving size: 4-6 people

– 1 lb (450)  gram green cabbage, finely sliced

– 1 medium yellow onion, finely sliced

– 2 small carrots, grated

– 4 tablespoon olive oil, vegetable oil

– 3 tablespoon white vinegar

– 1 tbsp  fresh lemon juice

– 1 tbsp sugar

Process: 

1. Finely slice the cabbage and place into a bowl.

2. Grate the carrot on a coarse grater, add to the  cabbage bowl

3. In the small bowl put olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, vinegar and sugar. Stir well, and add to the salad stir again.  This salad is great as a side dish or with meat, or fish. DSC_0349DSC_0353DSC_0362

Note: The salad can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days in a lidded container or tightly covered with plastic wrap.
