Homemade Basil Meatball.

Rate this post

There are many types of meatballs using different types of meats and spices. Meatballs are cooked by frying, baking, steaming, or braising in sauce. I usually bake my meatballs then freeze them. So we can use later.   Also, you can add your favourite seasoning as well.

Good luck and enjoy 🙂

Ingredients:

–  1Lb (454 gr) lean ground beef ( you can mix half ground beef, half ground pork )

– 1 large yellow onion, finely chopped

– 5-6 garlic cloves, minced

– 1 small carrot, grated

– 1 egg, beaten

– about 2 tbsp red pepper, finely chopped

– 5-6 fresh basil leaves, chopped

– 1tsp salt

–  1/2tsp fresh ground black pepper

– 1/4 tsp red pepper powder

– 3 tbsp  Panko breadcrumbs

– 1/2tsp cornstarch

– 1/2 tsp Vegeta seasoning

– 3tsp water

– 2 tbsp tomato sauce, or ketchup DSC_0560DSC_0551

Direction:

1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

2. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl by hand. Use your bare hands for best results 😉DSC_0553

3. Spray a  pan with nonstick spray  (I line the bottom part with foil and then spray).

4. Roll meatballs to about the size of a golf ball. DSC_0569

5.  Set on the sprayed prepared pan and bake for 25-30  minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through.DSC_0571

6.   Add these meatballs to your favourite sauce and serve over pasta. Or you can freeze them. They freeze well after cooking.

Enjoy 😉
