Hello everyone!

I was going post this super easy (I should say lazy) recipe during the last holiday season but I totally forgot. Feels a little funny to post a Holiday treat in June. But it brings back an awesome holiday memory to me. Everybody loves Christmas and New Year.

This recipe is so easy and so good, especially when you make with your kids. Life is precious so I’m trying to have fun and leave some good memories for my kids. They are growing too fast. I made this one with my middle son. He is the one who likes to watch cooking shows, cooks and bakes with me. Feels so lucky and happy. So here is the Beautiful puff pastry Christmas tree from my son to you all. Happy Early Holiday!

Good luck and enjoy. Make sure to make this cute, and super easy Holiday treat to your family and guests.

A little magic to your Holiday table.

Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry sheets, frozen
  • 60 gr Nutella
  • berries for garnishing, optional
  • powdered sugar, optional
  • 2,3 tbsp milk, (or 1 egg yolk mix with some water)
  • turbinado sugar (or mix some sugar with cinnamon)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven at 190C (375F). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Cut out pastry sheets in the shape of Christmas tree. Pull away excess pastry. You will need some for the star. I baked some twists too with excess puff pastry. Spread Nutella on one sheet and place the other sheet of pastry on top, and then cut branches into the sides of the triangle don’t forget to press the ends into the baking sheets. You can see my son’s ok sign. He did it and so happy 😉

3. Make your star with a star-shaped cookie cutter, then sandwich with Nutella. Place it at the top of the Christmas Tree. Here is your Beautiful puff pastry Christmas tree treat.

4. Brush your tree with 1 egg yolk or milk. I like to use milk. You can also use melted butter too.

5. Sprinkle with some sugar. Bake about 25-30 minutes until golden. Allow to cool about 5 minutes then sprinkle with more sugar or icing sugar.

We used fresh berries and icing sugar for garnishing. It looks beautiful. Enjoy 😉
