Baked Cinnamon Apple

Rate this post

Apple and cinnamon are perfect combinations together. Every fall we go to the apple farm and pick many different kinds of apples. Later on, I’m like  Ok what should I make, or bake 😉

Apple farm is one kind of family fun, a special trip of the year for our family. So we enjoy it so much.  That colors, that smell is just amazing.  Here is one of my very easy, tasty dessert or snack recipe.  Try to make this with your kids. They will have fun.

Please enjoy 😉

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium apple ( washed and cored)

For the crumbs:

  • 2 tbsp frozen unsalted butterDSC_0076
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp brown sugarDSC_0080

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven at 350 F ( 180C).
  2. Wash the apples very well. Peel them and slice them in half vertically, remove the center seeds.
  3. Now slice very thin slices all the way across the apple, making sure not to slice through to the bottom. Place the flat side down onto an oven safe pan.

( or you can mix cinnamon and brown sugar with melted butter then brush them)  Be careful not to break them. Sprinkle the apples with cinnamon and brown sugar. Bake 10 minutes.

5. After 10 minutes take it out and sprinkle with frozen butter and flour mixture. Bake again about 10 more minutes. And it’s done. Serve with vanilla ice cream.DSC_0082DSC_0084

This simple, an elegant and impressive dessert is the best way to showcase Fall fruit.

Note: By slicing the apple (or pear) this way, it allows the entire fruit to roast and caramelizes in their own juices, creating the most amazing, warm and comforting end to a meal ever.  It literally melts in your mouth!
