Oven-baked honey garlic salmon.

Hello, my friends.
Hope everyone is doing well and eating healthy during this Covid-19 time. I’m posting one of my all-time favourite honey garlic salmon.
I am a huge salmon lover. This ultra-easy salmon recipe is a winner when it comes to dinners. We love easy main dishes and foil cooking is so quick and easy.  I bake with a lot of lemon slices because I love lemon.  And also like to serve with steamed rice, mashed potatoes, and baked veggies. The choice is yours.  One thing is salmon can go bad pretty quickly, so I prefer to buy my salmon no more than 1 day ahead of time or on the same day to cook. We usually buy on the same day.
That is it. Good luck and enjoy this easy making Salmon dinner or lunch.
This Salmon made with honey garlic marinade and it takes only 15-20  minutes active time and only five, six key ingredients.
A whole salmon coated in a sweet and tangy honey garlic sauce then baked and broiled for a delicious crispy topping.
Ingredients:
– 6-8 lb fresh salmon
– 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
– 1/3 cup honey
– 3, 4 cloves garlic minced
– 1/2 lemon juice
– 1/2 lemon zest
– sliced lemons for garnishing and to serve
– Cilantro, parsley or basil to garnish
– salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
You will need:
saucepan for melting the butter
 To do:
1. Preheat the oven 190С (375F).
2. Heat the butter in a pan over low heat until melted and then let it cool.
3. Season the salmon with salt and ground black pepper. Set aside. Try to use fresh salmon not frozen.
4. Mix the honey, melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest and basil and stir to combine well. Spoon the honey garlic mixture on the salmon, coat evenly. (For stronger lemon flavoured salmon, add more lemon wedges on the salmon. You can mix with lime too) Then fold the foil up around salmon to create a tent. Make sure there is no leakage.
5. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Remove salmon from the oven and turn the broiler on high.
6. Unfold the foil so the salmon is uncovered. Place salmon back under the broiler for 4-5 minutes till there is slight browning over caramelization on top. Remove from the oven. Garnish with chopped parsley, cilantro and lemon slices. Serve with your favourite salad, rice or steamed veggies.

Note: Buy good salmon – I prefer to buy fresh salmon from the grocery store, instead of frozen filets in bags, since those tend to be very thin.
Don’t overcook –The USDA recommends salmon be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 F degrees.
Use it quickly – Salmon can go bad pretty quickly, so I prefer to buy my salmon no more than 1 day ahead of time or on the same day to cook.
